Denis is a middle school teacher, born and raised on his family’s 100 acre biodynamic organic vegetable farm in Chilliwack, BC with his 11 brothers and sisters. He enjoys connecting with people, laughing around the campfire, and playing competitive board games. He has long maintained his love of organic farming and enthusiasm for fresh vegetables, and dreamed for many years of one day owning his own farm.
Andrea is a photographer, with a passion for design, delicious food, and getting her hands dirty. Their passions joined early in their marriage and they spent many summers working together out in the field, planting, cultivating and harvesting vegetables on the family farm, hosting dinners, and running market stands together at local farmer’s markets.
As their little family grew, so did their dreams. Five kids and ten years later found them settling into the small community of Camrose, Alberta, until 2016 when they purchased Grey Arrow Farm (previously Sunhill Gardens)– a beautiful 35 acre vegetable farm bordering the peaceful Lyseng Resevoir.
The dream is now a reality as Denis and Andrea continue with their fifth season on the farm. They love to welcome locals into their CSA community and provide great-tasting, sustainably grown vegetables for individuals, restaurants, and families in the surrounding area.
